The Petaluma and Santa Rosa Electric Railway depot, which houses the West County Museum, was designed by noted Petaluma architect Brainerd Jones in 1917, and was restored in 1993. Its been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1996. The Museum’s Triggs Reference Room contains historical reference books and a clippings file, along with recordings of local personal histories, housed in a converted Petaluma & Santa Rosa Railroad boxcar!
